Glossary


Location:
There are six locations: The Head, The body, two legs and two arms. The head encompasses the neck. The body goes down to the belt. The legs include the buttocks. And the arms form a diagonal (see diagram)



Hit per location
Means that we are counting the hits taken depending on the location hit; initially counting one per location.

Hit global
Means that we are counting the hits taken in a global way. A single pool of hits is use for the full body.

Short weapon
Use of a one handed weapon of less than 60 cm

One handed weapon
Use of a one handed weapon from 60 to 110cm

Two handed weapon
Use of a two handed weapon from 110 to 150cm

Pole arm
Use of pole arm, used with two hands, from 150 to 220cm

Flails
Flails are the only weapons which aren’t fitting the above criteria.
Following safety critieria of BWAT, one handed flails measure 130cm maximum and two handed ones 170.

Small shields
Shields fitting in a 70cm side square

Large shields
Shield fitting in a 60cm by 120cm rectangle
Shield of a diameter of 90cm maximum
